Tricky Myers is a fast-paced custom gamemode played on old-gen Call of Duty titles — most famously on the map Rust. One player becomes Myers, while everyone else are trickshotters. Trickshotters must land stylish shots to survive; Myers closes distance, dodges, and eliminates opponents.
What Is Tricky Myers?
Setup
Players
Typically 3–18 players per match
Myers Selection
Myers is randomly selected at the start of the game
Myers Loadout
Pistol + tactical knife, with Lightweight and Marathon Pro
Trickshotters
Use snipers or throwing knives and must land trickshots (e.g., no-scopes, bounces, 360s) to hit Myers
Goals
Myers
Eliminate all trickshotters by dodging shots and closing in for kills.
Trickshotters
Land a legitimate trickshot on Myers to survive the round.
Round Flow
Each round lasts until a trickshot hits Myers or Myers eliminates everyone.
If Myers is trickshotted: Myers remains Myers for the next round.
If Myers dies from fall damage: Myers remains Myers.
If someone kills Myers with an illegal weapon (non‑sniper/throwing knife): a warning is issued and Myers remains Myers; two warnings still force that player to become Myers.
When Myers wins a round: the player shown as "First Killed" on the HUD becomes Myers next round; if that player leaves, it passes to the next in order.
Mechanics
Movement
Use mantles and glitches (e.g., strafe spots) for escapes and flanks — difficulty varies by map.
Strategy
Focus on dodging and predicting movements to outsmart opponents.
Damage Rules
Myers has fall damage; trickshotters do not.
Perks
Both sides are granted Lightweight Pro and Marathon Pro; you can still use Sleight of Hand or other perks.
Illegal Kills
Illegal kills on Myers issue warnings and don't dethrone him; two warnings make you instantly become Myers.
Play respectfully, keep shots clean, and remember: style points matter!
